Swagefast visits the A-OSHEXPO in Gallagher convention centre

Safety and health expo


On the 12th May, Swagefast decided to attend a health and safety expo in Midrand at the Gallagher convention centre. The expo was packed with plenty of stands to visit and understand more in connection with the safety measures one must take in their daily work environments. the event aimed to help build the professional future for occupational safety and health in Africa, with a mix of expert advice, debate and up to the minute developments in occupational health and safety. The  show attractions were: Business Matchmaking service, PASMA working at height theatre, Fire hazard identification challenge, NOSHEBO free to attend seminar theatre and Infires seminar.


Business matchmaking service is a service that allowed visitors and exhibitors to set up meetings with people at the show. Based on its ongoing sucess, the IOSH conference will run concurrently with the exhibition.the PASMA working ath height theatre provides a wealth of information on safely working at height and is endorsed by institute for working at height (IWH). Fire hazard identification challenge is based on simulated office enviroment with 6 to 8 fire harzards which were identified by participants. the nashebo free to enter seminar was jam packed with informative sessions that provided advice and invaluable material from industry experts on the latest trends, legislation and best practice in the industry. and lastly the Infires seminar catered for insurance technical staff. it provided feedback on projects and presentations, in which FPSA was involved, addressing highly topical issues of concern to insurance industry.

Within the exhibition were interesting stands where there was a presentation of the new Cash transit vehicles which are very high and bigger than before. This new vehicle is extra safe and better equipped for its job as compared to the previous design, some of them used our Swagebolts during production to fasten some parts. overall the exhibition was very informative and highly safety and health oriented.
